**Job Summary:** IoT Developer

The IoT Developer plays a crucial role in advancing manufacturing systems towards operational excellence by integrating smart factory solutions. This position involves designing and implementing advanced control systems and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.

**Responsibilities:** IoT Developer

- Facilitate shopfloor equipment connectivity to enable smart factory solutions.

- Design and develop IoT applications for on-premises and cloud-based environments.

- Create key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and monitoring tools for Industry 4.0 production environments.

- Collaborate with teams and use source control tools (e.g., Confluence, GitHub) effectively.

- Troubleshoot issues during testing and production.

- Ensure compliance with plant safety rules and policies.

- Promote company philosophies and practices, including 5S for good housekeeping.

**Qualifications:** IoT Developer

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), and robot programming (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Motoman).

- Knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, C#, R, Python, C , Java).

- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.

- Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework.

- Familiarity with the MQTT protocol, capability studies (e.g., CPK, Gage R, Gage R&R), and statistical methods.

- Knowledge of business processes and BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, AWS Quicksight, QlikView).

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to speak, hear, and use hands for keyboarding, handling, grasping, and touching.

- Mobility to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study

OTHER: Troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities highly desired.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Experience with the MQTT protocol Experience with capability studies (such as CPK, Gage R, and Gage R&R), knowledgeable of statistical methods and familiarity with BI technologies, i.e., Microsoft Power BI, AWS Quicksight, QlikView. Minimum three plus (3 ) years of related experience required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may occasionally approach very high levels when moving around a factory floor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
